Oh, no...not again...

Why? Why must directors and studios in some sort of homage to classic films of yesteryear persist in trying to "remake" them for "today's audience?" Today, I discovered the trailer for a new version of The Manchurian Candidate, starring Denzel Washington. Now, I'm sure this will be an okay movie. It looks okay. But did they really need to remake the original? Recent track records on remakes haven't exactly been great. "Psycho" and "The Truth About Charlie" were AWFUL. Why not simply remaster the original and re-release it in theatres? *sigh*
