Expos Update

The Post buried this article today about the Expos, choosing to report MLB and MLBPA's official denial story, but ESPN is standing by Rob Stark's story from yesterday about the Expos, which has the decision all but made and that the Washington area is the overwhelming choice, with the District proper as the preferred location and Northern Virginia as a compromise if Angelos pitches a fit (even though he has ZERO rights to veto). From the sound of the article, it strikes me as genuine - that MLBPA officials briefed Expos players, who briefed each other, and then someone leaked the whole thing out before MLB's meetings in a couple of weeks in Philly.

I can only hope it will be the District and not that awful location way out in Dulles. I'd like to be able to go to games now and then - and out in Dulles that would be so much more difficult. I may be the only person I know who loves baseball and wants a team here...but so be it.
