"Its absolutely essential that eight weeks from today, on November 2, we make the right choice, because if we make the wrong choice then the danger is that we'll get hit again and we'll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States." -Vice President Dick Cheney
Seldom have I ever woke up in the morning and read something as disgraceful as the Vice President's statement last night that America risks a terrorist attack if we elect John Kerry. This goes so far above and beyond the realm of decency and honorable election tactics that I'm literally at a loss for words. It crosses just about every line there ever is, was, or ever will be. I am ashamed of the vice president. That ANYONE would say something like goodness.

If this doesn't go to prove that Karl Rove and El Presidente's handlers will say anything to get elected, even if it means using scare tactics that they should be ashamed of, I don't know what will. These words were some of the most disgraceful ever uttered by an elected official - far worse than what cost Trent Lott his job as majority leader in the Senate. The Vice President and the President should immediately repudiate them and apologize to Senator Kerry. And if they don't, I hope Kerry and Edwards roast these two over hot coals in the debates.
