Armas to start year on the DL

Bad news for the Nats yesterday...Tony Armas, who suffered a groin pull during the first inning of his next-t0-last spring training start Sunday, was put on the 15-day DL. For those keeping score at home...that's four seasons...four trips to the disabled list. At least it wasn't his shoulder, which has given him chronic problems. But......groin pulls can be tricky business. They've kept Mike Sweeney of the Royals on the sideline for way too many games - I still say that's one of the major reasons why the wheels came off the wagon in 2003 for Kansas City.

In other Nats news...Angelos STILL hasn't signed the compensation agreement, which means that there is still no television deal in place. Personally, it isn't a huge deal to me since I don't have cable...but...it's a big deal for the team and it's high time Angelos stopped dragging his feet on this. Sign it, Peter. Or sue. Make up your mind.
