Give 'em hell, Harry!

I was unsure of the choice of Harry Reid to be the leader of the Dems in the Senate, but...hey...he's done a bang up job there. He's kept the party united against the President's risky, unnecessary and anti-family "reform" of social security (refusing to accept Karl Rove's bait to come out with a "plan" when the President hasn't come out with one first). He kept the team united against the nuclear-option and has praised the GOP moderates that made the deal possible (unlike Frist). He's giving us some focus and energy that we've lacked in Congress for too long (huh...maybe Daschle was more of the problem than I suspected).

Anyway...Rolling Stone has an interview with him this week. He spends some time talking about why Frist is so unwilling to compromise and the mistakes that John Kerry made last year. He advocates more of a focus on rural America for Dems (not bad). Plus...among the choice little bits in there was this exchange at the end (Rolling Stone interviewer in bold):
You've called Bush a loser.

And a liar.

You apologized for the loser comment.

But never for the liar, have I?

Nice. *grin*
