What's good for the goose...

I love it! Just days ago, the right was up in arms over Durbin's comments comparing Gitmo to Nazi and Soviet camps and demanded a public apology. But today...what's good for the goose is good for the gander...

Democrats appear to be firing back after Karl Rove made some ill-chosen comments about liberals and our response to September 11. Not that I'm expecting anything to come of's more proof that as a party, we're not laying down and just taking GOP abuse like that. We're firing back. The President and his people are just out of touch with reality and are starting to get desperate.

Two words for you: lame duck.

Do you really think this will get much play outside of the beltway and party die hards? The gulag comment was pretty out there. It was, dare I say, bombastic. But, besides being pretty out there, the sad part was how it was such an obvious copy of Amnesty International's comments, which were over the top. Which ever one of them said it, ought to apologize - to the Democratic party for making them look ridiculous.

And, Amnesty ought to consider how such statements affect their own credibility.

The Democratic party responding with a tit-for-tat offensive looks childish to me and potentially undermines the efforts to address problems with the Gitmo camps by distracting from substantive efforts. Luckily, come tomorrow most people who even read this stuff will be looking at the next "missing child" expose and forget about what the Senators have to say about one another.

What's with all these BS apologies anyway. (rhetorical).
